This Privacy Policy explains how HydraControl ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. We built HydraControl to help you build a healthy hydration habit, and we take your privacy seriously.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use HydraControl, we may collect:
- Hydration data you enter — drink logs, custom drink types, and daily goals, stored on your device and, if you enable sync, in your private iCloud account.
- Apple Health data — with your explicit permission, we read data such as workouts and weather-related activity to adjust your daily hydration goal. This data is processed on-device and is never sold or shared with third parties.
- Usage & diagnostic data — anonymized crash reports and performance metrics to help us improve app stability.
- Purchase information — if you subscribe to HydraControl Pro, purchase data is processed by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat); we do not receive or store your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To track your hydration progress and streaks
- To personalize your daily hydration goal based on weather and activity (Pro feature)
- To send reminder notifications you have enabled
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To manage your subscription, if applicable
3. Data Storage & Sync
Your hydration data is stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is available and enabled, your data syncs across your devices via your personal iCloud account, which is encrypted and controlled by Apple — we do not have access to it.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple HealthKit — for reading workout and activity data (only with your permission)
- RevenueCat — for managing in-app subscriptions
- Analytics/crash reporting providers — for anonymized, aggregated diagnostics
5. Your Rights & Choices
You can, at any time:
- Revoke Apple Health access in your device Settings
- Disable notifications in your device Settings
- Delete your hydration data by deleting the app
- Request deletion of any data associated with your account by contacting us
6. Children's Privacy
HydraControl is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
